Ghostwood ships apps. Until now, it hasn't said much about how they get made.
A lot happens between an idea and an App Store listing, and almost none of it fits on a product page. The bug that ate a weekend. The feature that got cut two days before submission. Why Muddled became Mixed Spirits. Why Daypart stops at scheduling and leaves payroll to someone else. This page is where that goes.
What goes here
- Build notes — how a feature actually got made, including the parts that didn't work.
- Release context — not the changelog, the reasons behind it.
- What it's like to run a one-person studio out of Newton, North Carolina.
What doesn't
No growth hacks. No "ten tips." No posting on a schedule for the sake of the schedule. When something is worth writing down, it lands here. When nothing is, the page stays quiet.
How it's built
The same way as the rest of the site: plain HTML, one stylesheet, no build step. Each entry is a single file. If it ever needs more than that, it'll get more. Until then, fewer moving parts.
Next entry: whatever breaks first.
